Physiopathology and Biological Basis of Sports Rehabilitation

Learning objectives
The course aims to illustrate to the student the scope of rehabilitation (return to sport) following sports injury and to provide students with the basic knowledge about the pathophysiological mechanisms responsible for medical problems that may develop in sports
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge of the morphological and pathophysiological bases underlying major acute bone, capsular, ligament, muscle and tendon injuries or chronic functional overload pathologies in the most commonly practiced sports. Knowledge of the role that sport can have in the context of pathological processes related to the development of sports-related diseases more frequently.
