Learning objectives
The course aims to examine the different aspects of Museology and the museums' professional field taking as case study the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci. In fact, each lecture is built on the experience and expertise of specific museum professional profiles aiming to create connections between theory and practice.

The course consists of lecture sessions of 3 hours each, on the following topics:

Teaching methods
The lessons take place at the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci and consist of a mix of lectures, exercises and group work, workshops and activities, visits and analysis of the work of the Museum taken as case study.
Teaching Resources
The presentations used in each lecture, made available through a specific website created by the Museum and are made available to all students.
Assessment methods and Criteria
ASSESSMENT
Written exam consisting in 5 questions to be answered correctly in 60 minutes.
The exams take place during the exam periods as organized by the University and there are no mid-term exams. The questions used are taken from the materials used in the lectures.
Grading uses a scale from 1 to 30. Results are uploaded on the platform with an automatic communication to the students.
Assessment is based on the following criteria:
Correspondence between the answer and the contents in the course materials.
Capacity to display the knowledge acquired in the form of narrative.
Quality of writing and explanation.
