The objectives of the course are:
-Know the essential characteristics of clinical trials and gain experience in critical analysis of the related scientific literature.
- Learn basic concepts in the design of protocols, clinical studies and how to formulate the hypotheses to be verified.
-Know the basic concepts of pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology and drug use in order to apply the correct methods according to the object of analysis.
Expected learning outcomes
- Acquisition of experience in the interpretation of scientific literature on clinical trials.
- Learning the scientific bases in the design of clinical studies.
- Understanding of basics on pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacodilization.
The evaluation of the learning will take place through an oral exam, in which the learning of the treated topics will be evaluated.
The exam can last up to 30 minutes and up to five questions related to the program will be asked.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The growing interest in health highlights the urgency to analyze communication processes in light of the needs of communicators and the expectations and perceptions of the users of information (interpretation of illness and therapy, feelings and fears, consequences on social life), and to provide new tools to healthcare professionals who daily face health / disease with patients / clients.

Therefore, the objectives of the course are:
- to know the basics of communication
- to know the characteristics of the different means of communication and how these must influence languages and methods
- to analyze and compare the language of the media (press, television, radio, web) and emerging channels, such as social networks
- to experiment with methods of communication with peers

At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- understand, interpret and discuss scientific contents, according to language and the means of communication
- use appropriately different means and different communication methods, choosing and adapting them according to the target, the content, and the objective of the communication act
- design a written or an oral communication act, for effective communication with peers
