Learning objectives
The course aims to provide the basic notions inherent in diagnostic imaging of the ocular apparatus, from the ocular surface to the retina.
The aspects dealt with in the various modules will be complementary and will include:
-the principles behind the acquisition, processing and archiving of digital images in the field of medical diagnostics
-role, advantages and limitations of diagnostics imaging
-basic principles of tool operation and image analysis and processing
-pathophysiological and clinical elements useful for understanding the correct use and clinical interpretation of the diagnostic imaging methodology
-technical elements useful for performing the examination as an operator
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will be able to know how to use the main methods of semeiological investigation in the ophthalmological field having acquired the fundamental knowledge of each instrumental methodologies in order to conduct the examinations in the most precise way, efficient and effective
