Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the knowledge of the impacts played by invasive species and great carnivore and the most appropriate intervention strategies to prevent them.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will be able to independently evaluate the possible impacts exerted by invasive species and great carnivore. At the same, he will be able to formulate management strategies to minimize such impacts.

native and non-native invasive fauna in Europe and Italy (2 hours)
biology and ecology of the avian species harmful (Cornacchia, pigeon, cormorant, other bird species) (2 hours)
biology and ethology of the main species of harmful small mammals (Nutria, Cottontail) (2 hours)
biology and ethology of the main species of large carnivores harmful in Italy (wolf, bear, lynx, fox) (2 hours)
Monitoring methods and control of invasive species and large carnivores (3 hours)
health and hygiene management of invasive species and large carnivores (5 hours)
Practicals:
practice of monitoring activities (4 hours)
Practical activities control (trapping, construction of electric fencesetc ..) (4 hours)
Recognition of damage to agricultural crops (4 hours)
