Learning objectives
Answer independently nursing needs and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in the management of priority health problems, in all age groups, in different social, family and multicultural contexts.
Plan nursing care according to objectives, according to the principles of evidence base practice and ethics, using critical thinking, adapting it to quality standards and clinical risk.
Implement preventive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative care interventions, using relational, educational and technical strategies and evaluate the results obtained.
Expected learning outcomes
The student will apply the phases of the nursing care process in the clinical setting using the disciplinary tool.
The student will Illustrate each associations between the data collected and the identified needs. Plans interventions by applying critical thinking.

Provides result-oriented care, implementing nursing care making reference to evidence based practice

Course syllabus
Collects and analyzes patient's data by identifying high care complexity problems
together with critical conditions and patient's needs at the end of life.
Provides result-oriented care, implementing nursing care making reference to evidence based practice
Recognizes and maintains patient's safety and security, in order to prevent adverse events. Utilizes also technological tools to monitor, support and/or replace vital functions
Promotes patient's self-care throughout therapeutic education interventions
Justifies clinical decisions taken scientifically
Plans and carries out nursing activity according to care priorities
Takes advantage of both judgment and self-evaluation to improve his/her attitude
Establishes supportive relationships with the patient and his caregivers to face clinical, ethical and deontological problems
Maintains professional relations with healthcare professionals and actively collaborates with the multidisciplinary team
Establishes professional relationships with non-healthcare interlocutors, respecting professional secrecy and the personal data protection code.
Prerequisites for admission
Having passed the examination of Basic Science, Clinical Nursing Sciences 2, Medicine and Pharmacology and Internship 2.
Teaching methods
According to EU legislation together with teaching rules and regulations, students must perform a training period in hospital wards and territorial health districts.
Laboratory practice exercises and individual or small group tutorial activities to promote nursing knowledge and skill acquisition.
