Learning objectives
The course aims to deepen the principles behind formulation/design, preparation/production and control of the main forms of conventional dosage and modified release.
In addition, this objective is sought by means of student participation in practical laboratory exercises.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student must have a thorough knowledge of the various types of dosage forms and be able to propose formulation strategies for the development of specific products.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The oral face-to-face examination will ordinarily take place if possible, otherwise it will be through Microsoft Teams. In this case, it will last about 20 minutes focusing on the student's skills to understand, analyze, explain and critically comment on some peer reviewed papers in order to analyze deeper some of the lesson topics.

Course syllabus
The lecture program and the reference material are unchanged.
All educational support material will always be available through the Ariel and Microsoft Team platforms.
Teaching methods
Lectures will be in the classroom, if possible. If the situation gets worse, then they will be delivered through distance teaching modality, in particular through Microsoft Teams, and they will be followed by the students in sync according to the regular schedule.
A third of the laboratory practice lessons will be in the laboratory appropriately equipped according to the current restrictions, and the rest of the lab lessons will be delivered as well through distance teaching modality (Microsoft Team).
In any case, the whole laboratory practice is mandatory.
