Learning objectives
Know deeply nursing needs related to the state of health of the person, by the different stages of life, from childhood to seniority. From the perspective of biophysiology, psychology and socio cultural nursing.
Study in deep methods of both observation and data collection. Study in deep the clinical method of physical examination throughout the patient observation and interview. Know nursing planning methods according to criteria of priority and continuous evaluation of the interventions carried out and the results obtained by satisfing nursing needs.
Acquire knowledge of nursing based practice to satisfy nursing needs
Apply data collect methods to identify nursing needs. Perfom nursing assesment in the perspective of a nursing theory providing the correct documentation.(Nursing clinical laboratory 1)
Apply nursing procedures troughout a nursing plan based on evidence to obtain nursing needs satisfaction (Professional laboratory 1)
Perform calculations to obtaine the exact dosage and dilution of antiseptics (Professional Laboratory.
Expected learning outcomes
Aknowledges and describes nursing needs in the perspective of biophysiology, psychology and socio cultural nursing.
Describes data collect methods and recognizes nursing assessment way to plane and evaluate nursing needs and their satisfaction by the nursing process.
Describes evidence based practice activity useful to obtain nursing health care.
Interprets the collected data to identify nursing needs and to plane nursing assessment evaluating its effectiveness.
Calculates the correct dosage and dilution of disinfectants.

The exams will be carried out in-class and/or remotely . Oral exams will be carried out remotely using the Microsoft Teams platform or other online platforms provided by the University. The distance written exams will be carried out using the Exam.net platform or other platforms provided by the University according to the modalities illustrated on the web site http://www. unimi.it
Prerequisites for admission
There are no specific prerequisites other than those required for admission to the degree course.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The written test includes closed and / or open-ended questions, in addition, if the subject requires it, the candidate is also assessed with respect to the calculation tests related to the teaching.
The evaluation of the written barrier test DOES NOT give rise to a mark, but only to admission to the oral test.
The oral exam includes questions whose assessment relates to the following parameters: content, logic, language properties.
The evaluation of the oral test is out of thirty.

Methods of collecting the main data for the identification of nursing care needs: state of awareness and attention, arterial pulse characteristics, blood pressure, body temperature, fever characteristics, breathing characteristics, chest characteristics, cough characteristics, sputum characteristics, vomiting characteristics, pain characteristics, urine characteristics, urination characteristics, stool characteristics, evacuation characteristics, characteristics of the skin and skin appendages, characteristics of the mucous membranes, state of nutrition and hydration, characteristics of voluntary and involuntary movements, characteristics of the muscles, characteristics of the joints, characteristics of sleep, characteristics of language, characteristics of sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste, state of orientation, perception and ideation.

Methods to perform intervention for nursing needs satisfaction: insertion and management of nasogastric tube, insertion and management of bladder catheter, enema administration, education and assistance in dressing up, education and assistance for deambulation, education and assistance for nutrition, education and assistance for personal hygiene and self-care, education and assistance for resting and sleeping, education and assistance for respiration and expectoration, setting management (microclimate, illumination, noise, safety), pain management (hot and cold application, simple massage therapy technique, distraction techniques), positioning and transferring of patient, communication management with person with linguistic, hearing, visual difficulties, communication management for anxiety-reduction, for support and acceptance, management of fever and hypothermia, pressure sores prevention, prevention of health care-associated infection.

The exams will be carried out in-class and/or remotely . Oral exams will be carried out remotely using the Microsoft Teams platform or other online platforms provided by the University. The distance written exams will be carried out using the Exam.net platform or other platforms provided by the University according to the modalities illustrated on the web site http://www. unimi.it
Prerequisites for admission
There are no specific prerequisites other than those required for admission to the degree course.
Assessment methods and Criteria
The written test includes closed and / or open-ended questions, in addition, if the subject requires it, the candidate is also assessed with respect to the calculation tests related to the teaching.
The evaluation of the written barrier test DOES NOT give rise to a mark, but only to admission to the oral test.
The oral exam includes questions whose assessment relates to the following parameters: content, logic, language properties.
The evaluation of the oral test is out of thirty.

Nursing care process stages: data collection, identification of nursing care needs, definition of the goals of nursing care, nursing care planning, assessment of nursing interventions.
Method of conducting the nursing interview and physical examination for the collection of the main data for the identification of nursing care needs.
Information systems for nursing care.
Methods of collecting the main data for the identification of nursing care needs: state of awareness and attention, arterial pulse characteristics, blood pressure, body temperature, fever characteristics, breathing characteristics, chest characteristics, cough characteristics, sputum characteristics, vomiting characteristics, pain characteristics, urine characteristics, urination characteristics, stool characteristics, evacuation characteristics, characteristics of the skin and skin appendages, characteristics of the mucous membranes, state of nutrition and hydration, characteristics of voluntary and involuntary movements, characteristics of the muscles, characteristics of the joints, characteristics of sleep, characteristics of language, characteristics of sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste, state of orientation, perception and ideation.
Nursing needs identification: data aggregation and comparison, data validation and analisys, formulation of a nursing problem/diagnosis, priority definition.
Method for nursing goals setting: criteria for formulation and validity.
Nursing planning methods: appropriateness and priority of intervention and use of resources, use of nursing clinical documentation.
Methods to perform intervention for nursing needs satisfaction: insertion and management of nasogastric tube, insertion and management of bladder catheter, enema administration, education and assistance in dressing up, education and assistance for deambulation, education and assistance for nutrition, education and assistance for personal hygiene and self-care, education and assistance for resting and sleeping, education and assistance for respiration and expectoration, setting management (microclimate, illumination, noise, safety), pain management (hot and cold application, simple massage therapy technique, distraction techniques), positioning and transferring of patient, communication management with person with linguistic, hearing, visual difficulties, communication management for anxiety-reduction, for support and acceptance, management of fever and hypothermia, pressure sores prevention, prevention of health care-associated infection.
