Learning objectives
The course will introduce the basic concepts of etiopathogenesis and diagnosis of periodontal disease.
Methods for clinically determining the health status of periodontal and peri-implant tissues will be presented.

Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will have acquired knowledge on the etiopathogenesis of periodontal diseases, risk factors for the onset and progression of periodontitis and peri-implantitis and will be able to collect the periodontal indexes useful to classify and the re-evaluate of the state of the periodontal and peri-implant tissues.

TEACHING METHODS
The lessons will be held on the Microsoft Teams platform and can be followed both in synchrony on the basis of the established time, and asynchronously because they will be recorded and left available to students on the same platform.

The program and the reference material will not change from last year.
LEARNING ASSESSMENT
The exam will take place orally using the Microsoft Teams platform or, where the regulations allow, in person, always in oral form.
