Learning objectives
In a world in which the pollution factor is increasingly important and the subject of discussions often not documented by facts, the course aims to provide students with a key to understanding these phenomena, an overall vision, an indication of the methodologies to face the problem .
Starting from a historical description of the pollution phenomenon over the centuries and passing through a definition of the parameters that regulate the environmental fate of the various pollutants, the aim of the course is to provide students with a global vision of the environmental fate of the toxic substances dispersed in the air, water, soil matrices and various reclamation and / or containment methods. The final part then examines the various methods to avoid the development of polluting phenomena at the source, and the strategies against climate change and sustainable development. Positive models will therefore be proposed and examined (ecolabel, LCA, environmental and ethical certifications).
Expected learning outcomes
The expected learning outcomes are related to the students' acquisition of a global vision of the environmental fate of toxic substances dispersed in the air, water, soil matrices and the various methods of reclamation and / or containment. Students will also acquire knowledge of the methods implemented by companies, institutions and governments to avoid the development of polluting phenomena at the source, and international strategies against climate change and sustainable development
