Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with: - in-depth knowledge of the topics covered by the course, based on the assumption that the basic elements have been acquired during the previous university career; - the ability to critically address issues and resolve legal issues by reworking the concepts learned; - the strengthening of the technical language relevant to the subject; - the ability to connect the different topics in order to develop useful proposals for the solution of concrete cases, also through case-based lessons carried out with the active participation of the students
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student who has successfully learned the subject will have a thorough knowledge of the topics of the course, with the acquisition of a method of reasoning suitable for dealing with legal issues relating to the protection of the environment.

Didactic methods
In the event of a new health emergency, lectures will be held online on the platform Teams in sync.
The lectures will be recorded and available on the same platform and / or on the ARIEL website. Information about the access to Microsoft Teams and other teaching instructions will be uploaded on ARIEL website.
It is recommended to visit ARIEL website regularly.
In the event that health situation allows it, and according to the safety rules, lecture will be held in the classroom (mixed mode); in this case, students will be promptly informed via ARIEL website.
In any case, the lectures will be recorded and left available for the entire semester.

Learning assessment procedures and assessment criteria
The exam procedure will be the same.
The exam will take place orally on the Microsoft Teams platform.
In the event that health situation allows it the exam will take place in the classroom, according to the classrooms availaibility and the safety rules.
In any case, the chance of taking the exam remotely will be ensured for students unable to move from their domicile.

III The subjects: Air pollution; Noise pollution; Electromagnetic pollution; The protection of waters; Water regime and soil protection (remediation of polluted sites and waste management); The regulation of industrial accident risks;
The energy sector; Nature protection: parks and nature reserves; Landscape assets; Environmental associations; Environmental information; Environmental impact assessment; Environmental damage; Waste.

Direct knowledge of the relevant regulatory sources is also required, and in particular of Legislative Decree no. 152.
Attending students will integrate the above materials with the lecture notes and the jurisprudential and doctrinal materials distributed during the course and will be called upon to participate actively in the lessons, through the presentation of jurisprudential cases.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam will consist solely of an oral test, in which, alongside the knowledge of the legal institutes, the ability to critically re-elaborate the environmental protection tools currently offered by the national system and their consistency with European obligations will be assessed; there are no written tests.
