Learning objectives
Con l'insegnamento degli atti propri della professione, dei materiali ad essa dedicati, degli strumenti, delle attrezzature e dei metodi impiegabili raggiungerà le conoscenze per la formulazione di un protocollo terapeutico realizzando le ortesi specifiche per la patologia correlata, analizzando con capacità critica, gli eventuali esami strumentali quali Rx, Tac, RM, Eco. Apprenderà i principi per la prevenzione primaria e specifica, dovrà inoltre essere in grado di produrre la documentazione necessaria ai fini legislativi per il controllo di qualità. Apprenderà, inoltre, nozioni di sui bendaggi funzionalki e chinesioloigici, cenni di posturologia. Avrà modo di seguire stage con aziende del settore podologico ( calzaturiero, strumentario,materiali)
Expected learning outcomes
saper gestire il caso clinico in toto. Utilizzando le proprie conoscenze acquisite nei tre anni di insegnamento fare un ragionamento clinico basato sull'EBM, scegliendo per il paziente il miglior percorso terapeutico in base alla semeiotica, esame obiettivo, strumentale

Course syllabus and organization

Single session

For the lessons of the 1st semester the teaching, given the current health situation, will be carried out entirely at a distance.
Prerequisites for admission
Knowledge of general and specific anatomy and physiology are requested
Assessment methods and Criteria
At the end of each semesters students have to take an ongoing evaluation made of 30 written questions based on the semestral program.
At the end of the 2nd year they have to pass the examination of Podologia 1 consisting in 30 open and closed questions.
At the end of the course of study students have to take the exam of Podologia 2 made of 60 open and closed questions on the whole three-year program. The ones who pass it will sustain an oral exam to confirm the written evaluation.
At the end of each semester there will be a lesson during which students can ask for explanations about treated issues.
The marks obtained in the various examinations will be displayed on a dedicated board inside the department and the students can discuss the exam and ask for an additional oral assessment
