During laboratory exercises will be provided informations about the workflow of a biological sample. In the field of general bacteriology gram stains will be provided and the antibiogram will be presented and interpreted.As regards viral diagnostic, the principles of molecular biology techniques (PCR/real-time PCR and gene sequencing), useful for diagnosis and monitoring of viral infections and drug resistance analysis, will be discussed. In addition, interesting clinical cases will be presented.
