Learning objectives
The workshop aims to deepen the theme of ethics and human dignity in the business world
through practical experiences, distinguishing elements and principles of Anthroposophy (a
philosophical approach born in the late nineteenth century) and Rudolf Steiner's social
threefolding theory. We will examine the foundations on which successful economic initiatives
- that have focused on philosophical questions - have been built, and we will explore innovative
models of governance and organization inspired by Anthroposophy
Expected learning outcomes
The workshop aims to develop the following skills:

Critical thinking skills:
By the end of the workshop, students will display a sufficiently independent critical approach in selecting and interpreting the notions that are most relevant their area of study and to the broader socio-cultural context in which they operate

Communication skills:
By the end of the workshop:
- students will be able to effectively communicate the acquired knowledge and disseminate it to the general public;
- student will have developed basic IT skills concerning knowledge preservation and transfer.

Learning skills:
By the end of the workshop, students will have developed the learning skills required to continue their studies in keeping with their own research interests. In order to meet this objective, students will also develop relevant skills in the independent interpretation of sources and in the use of basic IT tool for bibliographic research.

During the emergency phase, the program is maintained with the following changes necessary for a good online use of the workshop originally designed for teaching in presence.
Online environment used: TEAMS.
The changes will be published in TEAMS and also communicated directly to students.
Course syllabus
The course is structured as follows:
I) Introduction to R. Steiner's Social Threefolding and definition of the concepts of ethics, human dignity, and methods of studying social phenomena;
II) Analysis of the systemic problems of business economics and relationship to social phenomena, cultural elements, and scientific research in the organizational field;
III) Relationship between individual and society and individual and business organizations, the "organic" organizational culture and emerging organizational phenomena;
IV) Practical exercises and examples of the application of Anthroposophy in organizations;
V) Measurement, KPI's and qualitative and quantitative analysis of ethical and sustainable businesses.
Prerequisites for admission
No previous knowledge is required.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The verification, without a grade, consists of participation in the activities of the workshop and the presentation of the results of the various practical exercises carried out during the course.
Attendance is mandatory. The workshop awards 3CFU.
