Course syllabus
The course is organized around five training events, delivered by a professional consultant and expert trainer on the subject addressed. Euro-project-management is treated starting with an overview of the main EU funds available, taking into due account related documents and introducing the various techniques to be used in order to draft a project proposal, manage a project, monitor and evaluate it as well as reporting back to the EC. More specifically, the first class deals with direct funding from Brussels, that are the main focus of the lessons. Some reference to indirect funds is also made. A few calls for proposal are analyzed in the second class together with the related guidelines and the draft of a project proposal is introduced. The third class is focused on the management of a project, flagging strong and weak elements related to project cycle management, the importance of a successful partnership and providing some useful instruments. The fourth class aims at training on how to monitor and evaluate the project (various typologies are indicated) as well as to report back to the EC all the costs and implemented activities. In the fifth class, the students undertake a general rehearsal, an interactive workshop with simulations of evaluations of short project proposals they elaborated in groups, and a final test with the use of some didactic materials provided by the trainer.
Prerequisites for admission
In order to benefit of the course at best, it would be useful for the student to be familiar with EU policies and institutions. Moreover, the knowledge of at least one foreign language (especially English) is highly recommended. Finally, past experience in Euro-projects-management can be helpful too.
Teaching methods
The didactic methodology applied is highly practical and interactive. In order to deliver and foster both knowledge and skills, Q/A sessions and debates among students, during the entire course are foreseen. In the end, the students will be sent the power-point slides of the entire course.

Teaching Resources
The use of slides prepared by the trainer is foreseen for each lesson. Relevant books and web sites on the subject are also made available to the audience and indicated in the slides. Furthermore, the trainer's practical experience greatly contributes to integrating quite innovative didactic methodologies, such as role plays, oral presentations and draft of documents (provided by the trainer) in working groups, and watching of videos and e-learning games.
Assessment methods and Criteria
Students experiment various practical tests, among which an interactive workshop with simulations of short project proposals they elaborated in groups of work and a final test, with the support of learnt techniques and instruments provided by the trainer.
