Behavioural Sciences and Scientific Methodology

Learning objectives
The course aims to introduce the student into the dentistry education, with aspects of psychology and pedagogy applied to the dentistry practice, foundations of scientific thought, computer science and statistics. Particular emphasis will be given to statistical reasoning, to the interpretation of clinical information present in dental literature and to decision-making and relational processes.
Expected learning outcomes
Students will be asked to acquire practical skills in data analysis and the use of useful software in their future clinical practice (spreadsheets and rdatabase program).
