Learning objectives
- To understand the bioengineering principles, the structure and the functioning of the medical devices and of the aids managed in rehabilitation
- To understand the methodologies and aids for autonomy and the related training methods.
Expected learning outcomes
To define the medical devices used for rehabilitation and list their characteristics, the advantages and any risks. To describe bioengineering methods and approaches. To perform simple mathematical problems. To describe the aids for autonomy and summarize the training methods.

Responsible
Where possible, lectures will be held in presence for small groups in compliance with the University indications relating to social distancing and at the same time remotely in synchronous mode on the Microsoft Teams platform. In any case, students will be able to access the lectures and the teaching material even remotely.

The program and reference material will not change.

The exam will take place in written form according to the procedures described in the dedicated section of the teaching sheet. As per the Rector's decree of 31 July 2020 currently in force, the written exams will take place in presence, in compliance with the safety regulations in force, guaranteeing international students, those residing outside the region as well as students with serious illnesses the opportunity to take the examination remotely, even on a different date.
Prerequisites for admission
No prior knowledge is required.
Assessment methods and Criteria
Written exam with open questions, multiple choice questions and exercises with the possibility of taking a subsequent oral exam. The use of the calculator is allowed.
There are ongoing tests with questions of different types (closed, open, semi-closed, exercises).
The evaluation is expressed in thirtieths.
The results are communicated via the Ariel website of the course.

As per the Rector's decree of 31 July 2020, the written part of the exams will be done in presence, guaranteeing international students, out-of-the-region students and those affected by serious diseases the possibility to do the written exam remotely, even in a different date. The oral part of the exam will be done remotely, as for the Rector's decree of 31 July 2020.
