Constitutional Challenges in the Eu

Learning objectives
The module aims at highlighting the current constitutional tensions experienced between the EU and its Member States. The course will address in particular the rule of law crisis and the immigration crisis in the EU through the lens of the constitutional conflicts in a multilevel legal order.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
- Understand the tension between the EU institutions and the different legal traditions;
- Understand the key issues of the so called rule of law and immigration crisis;
- Understand the complexity of the interplay between different legal orders in a composite constitutional space
- Develop further analysis on the future of the EU.
