The course aims to complete the student's training through the analysis of those context variables whose knowledge represents an essential basis for subsequent professional development. In particular, reference is made to problems of an ethical, organizational and safety nature in the workplace. The learning objectives include a specific focus on occupational ophthalmology.

At the end of the course, the student will have to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of responsibility in the professional exercise, the duties connected with the exercise of the profession, the conscious action to reduce the risk; the legislation on the protection of personal data will also be known; know the fundamentals of the main methodologies of diagnostic imaging and the use of radiation, of the principles of applications of biomedical technologies and of the radiation protection standards provided for by the Union directives; know the legislation relating to occupational medicine, the concepts of occupational disease, work-related disease, occupational injury, risk factors, chemical-physical, biological and psycho-social. Moreover, the student will have acquired specific competences about occupational ophthalmology.
