Ipovisione e riabilitazione neuropsicovisiva

The target of the course is to train students in the field of low vision and visual rehabilitation from both the theoretical and practical aspect. The student must acquire notions of neuropsychiatry, rehabilitative physics and psychology that condition the rehabilitative treatment of visual function; must acquire knowledge about the importance of vision in neuropsychic and motor re-education. Low vision is becoming in fact a socio-medical problem increasingly common in all age groups due to the aging population and the improvement of care that can often save partial visual function, avoiding the state of blindness. For a better approach towards these patients, the student will also be instructed on the fundamental fields of psychology for correct cognitive and emotional communication.

At the end of the course, the student will have to demonstrate a competent approach in the management and take in care of low vision patients, focusing on the rehabilitation process and the resulting spheres. (vision and psychology).
