Learning objectives
The course aims to:
- provide a general overview on neurological and neurosurgical topics potentially able to affect the visual system;
- translate into semiotics the knowledge of the organization of central visual pathways and of control mechanisms of ocular motility.

Expected learning outcomes
The student, at the end of the course, will have acquired:
- a basic knowledge on visual system involvement and manifestations related to neurological and neurosurgical conditions;
- specific competences on pathophysiology and clinical manifestations of neurophthalmic diseases;
- the skills to be able to make a proper diagnosis of the main forms of strabismus and abnormalities of ocular motility.
