Learning objectives
The course of Culture and professional practice aims to introduce the students to the most important concepts regarding professional behavior in the practical exercise of legal activities of agronomist, forest and agricultural biotechnologist, junior agronomists, junior foresters and agricultural biotechnologists.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will have an in-depth knowledge of the legislation and will be able to operate in the main areas of professional activity in accordance with ethical principles.

Second semester
The teaching activity in health emergency conditions will be carried out in mixed mode, with lectures through MS Teams and/or contemporary in class and MS Teams, while classroom exercises following the instructions of the university.

Characteristics of the intellectual professions.
Professional skills of agronomists, forestry doctors and new professional figures resulting from the university reform.
State examination for qualification to practice the profession.
Professional register and organization of the Order.
The deontological discipline of professional practice.
Professional indemnity insurance.
Continuing professional education.
Occupational pension and professional assistance.
Accounting and tax regimes.
Technical advice in civil proceedings.
Professional relations with the public administration.
The management of the professional practice. Relations with customers: quotes and offers, assignment specifications and professional parameters.
Prerequisites for admission
Specific preliminary knowledge is not required to attend the course.
Teaching methods
The course includes lectures on theoretical topics and field and classroom exercises.

For each topic a source is indicated (normative text, article, other) through a bibliographic reference or didactic materials are provided (in the appropriate section of the Ariel platform).
Assessment methods and Criteria
The student will be assessed with respect to the level of knowledge of the theoretical topics and methodological tools; the ability to apply knowledge and understanding; to the property of language and of expository clarity.
