Learning objectives
- to study the etiopathogenetic mechanism of the main psychiatric disorders, improve the knowledge of psychopathological phenomena. Take a deeper look of the theoretical basis of the main treatments in psychiatry.
- to acquire the ability to develop an integrated approach to the patient, critically evaluating not only the clinical but also the rehabilitative, relational, educational, social and ethical features involved in the prevention, assistance, rehabilitation and recovery of the highest possible level of well-being;
- to acquire the cultural and professional features that guide the medical process, the diagnostic thinking, the rehabilitative intervention, considering the patients and the community, using these principles during work experiences in healthcare facilities

Personality disorders, Somatic symptoms and related disorders, Dissociative disorders, Alcohol related disorders.
The topics treated in psychiatry 1 are deepened with therapeutic indications and elements of clinical reasoning starting from clinical cases.
Liason Psychiatry
Psychiatry of consultation and liaison: Definition, theoretical and application aspects, epidemiology; aspects of the crisis and phases of the disease; the oncological patient, consultation and HIV infection psychiatry, cardiopathic patient, diabetic patient, depression in neurological diseases.
Psychiatry in adolescence
Neurobiological and cognitive transformations; psychological and role transformations; Anxiety and somatic disorders; affective disorders and suicides; neurodevelopment disorders (focus on ADHD and high-functioning autism).
Eating disorders
Diseases of eating disorders in childhood and adolescence, Classification, Multisystem model in the early stages of eating disorders.
Mental Health and social determinants: the Street Psychiatry
Notions on the concept of mental health and health according to a biopsychosocial and recovery-oriented approach; social determinants of mental health, main and most current documents of WHO related to the Action Plan for Mental Health and Social determinants. How to structure rehabilitation-therapeutic projects aimed at psychic discomfort in the context of serious marginalization; quantitative and qualitative aspects related to homelessness and psychic discomfort, hints of "street psychiatry" as a model of integrated relational and rehabilitative approaches in favor of multiproblematic subjects.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Assessment of the learning will take place through a oral /written test. The evaluation criteria used will be the ability to list and organize the acquired knowledge as well as their application for the resolution of short questions. The evaluation of the teaching will be expressed in 30th and will be the result of the weighted average of the votes acquired in each module of the teaching. The results of the tests will be communicated to the students through online verbalization system of university.
