Farming Systems and Animal Welfare

Aims of the course is to introduce students in animal husbandry of cattle and other reared species. The course provides knowledge on different rearing systems , animal behaviour and on farm welfare assessment in order to improve livestock management.

Students will acquire knowledge and understanding of the main livestock production systems as well as the ability to apply this knowledge for livestock management. Students can analize rearing systems and their relationships with the welfare of reared animals
