Learning objectives
The goal of this course is to present the foundation of microeconomics, macroeconomics and development economics with theoretical lectures and practical exercises.
The micro-economic section will deal with the analysis of the economic actors' choices and market structures. The macro-economic section aims to define the most relevant elements of the economic system and to show their interactions at the national and international levels. The combination of the two sections will lead to analyze the economic framework in the different regional areas and the main instruments for economic policies and global governance
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of this course, the student will be able to critically analyze the main economic trends and identify and evaluate the most relevant causal relations influenced by public economic policies.
