Learning objectives
Through the frequency of professional activities, the student will acquire the following specific knowledge:
- Ability to collect the gynecological and obstetric history, and to know the fundamental concepts of the physiological evolution of pregnancy
- Ability to recognize the main diseases complicating pregnancy and the impact on its course
- Ability to focus on the clinical and therapeutic aspects of problems of female reproductive life
Ability to recognize the main benign gynecological pathologies and the most frequent gynecological surgical techniques
- To have observed a labor / delivery and a caesarean section
Expected learning outcomes
Learn the approach to gynecological and obstetric patients.
Observe the most common surgical techniques in gynecology (laparoscopy, laparotomy, vaginal surgery, and hysteroscopy).
Observe the management of pregnant patients (induction of labor, delivery of labor, cesarean sections in the obstetric operating room).
