Learning objectives
The course aims to launch a bridge between conventional communication techniques and web technologies, thereby enabling students to assess which technology is best suited to support which type of communication.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course students will acquire the ability to critically evaluate and discuss the impact, development and use of the topics covered during the course. The final exam aims to verify the expected learning outcomes in relation to these topics.

Selected topics in Web technology.
Creating HTML5 Web pages, with CSS styles and with the embedding of Javascript functions.
Responsive pages and the Twitter Bootstrap 5 framework.
Markdown and how to create business presentations in Markdown + Javascript.
Prerequisites for admission
No formal prerequisites beyond familiarity with personal computer and web use in a personal capacity.
Teaching methods
Seminar-style recited lectures: 'raw lectures at the whiteboard plus technology lectures on containers.
The lab part will consist of guided exercises from w3schools.com or replit.com, later we will work on mini projects on repl.

Assessment methods and Criteria
A final Web communication project that showcases one's working proficiency with the web technologies seen in class: Markdown, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and Javascript.
The project is about developing a new web presence.
The topic and submission details will be preliminary agreed with the instructors.
You are required to work on web containers such as Replit.com, Codio.com or Github.com and in case to open social web accounts or YouTube or Vimeo accounts.
