Learning objectives
The course aims at providing a multidisciplinary perspective into the basics of cognitive processes and their relationship with the underpinning brain activity, starting from the physiology of the neuron to end with high order cognitive processes such as memory of attention.
Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- describe how a typical neuron works
- identify different parts of the human encephalon
- describe the most influential neurocognitive models related to different cognitive functions
- link different neuronal networks to different cognitive functions
- search, read and understand a scientific article in the field of cognitive neuroscience

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to:
- apply the knowledge gained to present problems, analyze phenomena, and identify possible solutions in the field of cognitive neuroscience
