Learning objectives
The course aims at providing students with basic knowledge to conduct an experimental research, a quasi-experimental research and an observational research in a psychosocial context under an expert supervision in academic and non-academics contexts.
The teaching course is organized into one module whose the main topics are:
- Experimental research: hypothesis, dipendent and indipendent variables, control conditions, factorial designs, data collection, database creation
- Quasi-experimental research
- Observational research
- Research etichs principles
- Principles of data analysis
- Bibliographic research
- Short reports and scientific presentations preparation
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will have acquired knowledge on:
- the main methods of experimental, quasi-experimental and observational research
- the basic research ethics principles
- the basic principles of data management
- the main instruments to conduct a bibliographic research
- the basic knowledge to prepare a short reports and scientific presentations

The course is divided into a series of lectures with slide shows in Power Point. The lectures slides are uploaded to the Ariel website.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The assessment of learning takes place through the final exam, which verifies the acquisition of the knowledge and skills expected for the lessons of the integrated course through a written test lasting 1 hour. The exam is considered passed if the student has achieved a minimum score of 18 points in the written test.
The booking on the UNIMIA portal, within the dates established for each appeal, is mandatory for the examination.
