Learning objectives
The course will be divided into two modules: a general part and a special part.
General part
This module will focus on the purposes and regulation of collective protection in the systems where it has been introduced, with insights into the American experience and the most recent European experiences.
Special part
This module will focus on collective protection in relation to the different dimensions of sustainability, the nutritional dimension and the agri-food supply chains and labelling.

Expected learning outcomes
The expected result at the end of the course is that students are able to understand the advantages and disadvantages of collective protection in general, mastering both the procedural instrument and the experience gained in the courts in the relevant sectors. Students will therefore be adequately trained to understand the evolution of sector regulations and to actively participate in the debate that accompanies them.

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam will be in the form of a written paper of 2,000 to 5,000 words to be submitted two weeks after the end of the course. Possible topics for the papers will be discussed during the course.
