Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the tools to understand the different aspects of the organization of companies and institutions so that they are able to interpret them and make decisions on the subject, in relation to the different roles that can be played in the organizations themselves (direction, executive or external consulting). The course addresses the theme of the organization both with reference to the different technical decisions that can be taken on the subject in concrete contexts (analysis and organizational planning) and with reference to the management of interpersonal dynamics that develop in each organization.
More specifically, the aim of teaching is to develop knowledge about:
1. The main organizational theories and their evolution over time.
2. The analysis and design of the organizational structure, both general and micro organizational.
3. The interpersonal and organisational dynamics typical of organisations.
At the end of the course, the student will have a precise knowledge of the logic of organization of companies and institutions, both at a structural level and at the level of interpersonal relations.
Expected learning outcomes
· Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: the student will have the ability to set up the design of the organizational structure of an institution/enterprise both macro and micro. Students will also be able to read the organizational dynamics by evaluating the most appropriate methods of action to be taken in relation to the role held (employee, entrepreneur or freelancer) in the different types of public, private or no profit organizations.
· Autonomy of judgment: ability to understand interpersonal organizational dynamics by analyzing the different points of view of different actors in a critical way.
· Communication skills: the student will learn the organisational language and develop communication skills useful for negotiating dynamics in different contexts.
· Learning skills: the student will develop the ability to read the organizational dynamics in order to interpret them in a coherent way with the institutional objectives of specific organizations.

Learning Objectives.
The course aims to provide students with a general understanding of the concepts and tools that constitute the foundations of organizations of any nature. The purpose of the course is to provide the basic tools necessary to describe and understand different types of organizations and their transformation over time. The course will delve as much into theoretical aspects (what an organization is, what is meant by organizational design, what the various departments within an organization are concerned with) as it will into the dynamics present within the organization (what organizational behaviors are, what leadership styles, what approaches to training and development).
The course will also aim at the study and analysis of how new technologies are changing organizations and the world of work over time, addressing what are the new professional jobs and what are the expected skills of the future according to authoritative and accredited sources.

Specifically, the teaching aims to develop knowledge related to:
1) Analysis and study of organizational contexts and models;
2) The main organizational models and operational tools;
3) The relationship management dynamics typical of organizations;
4) The leadership factors that create organizational accelerations;
5) The inter- and intra-organizational ways of communication.
The theoretical lectures will be alternated to moments of exemplification and in-depth study with reference to examples and cases. It will be invited corporate testimonials who will speak about the specific dimensions of the organization (HR Directors, Training Managers, HR Managers, General managers, CEOs, Founders, Partners and Entrepreneurs, Innovation and Information Technology Directors).

Expected Learning Outcomes.
- Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: the student will have the ability to recognize and give equal importance to the "hard" characteristics of organizations, such as the organizational structure of an enterprise both micro and macro, and to the "soft" characteristics, i.e., the intangible and even implicit aspects, such as staff attitudes.
- Autonomy of judgment: ability to understand the variety of organizational structures, the role of the external environment, the power of organizational cultures, and the various decision-making processes within organizations
- Communication skills: the student will learn organizational language and develop communication skills useful for negotiating dynamics in different contexts.
- Analytical skills: the student will develop skills to analyze different organizations, mechanisms and requirements for the functioning and performance of organizations.
- Network: the student will be able to develop, through meetings with testimonials from the corporates, a network of knowledge useful for their future jobs.
Prerequisites for admission
The course is not propaedeutic. The basic knowledge of Business Administration is useful.
Teaching methods
The course will alternate between lectures and interactive moments with students. Business cases will be shared and there will be participation of several testimonials from different business realities.

There will be extensive use of gamification methodologies (knowledge tests, making pocasts, interviews, papers...).

Assessment methods and Criteria
Attending students
Only for attending students the examination consists of an oral test based on the topics covered during all the course and on a essay produced by the student individually or in groups (maximum three people), deepening on the topic of the program chosen by the student himself.

Non attending students
The examination takes the form of a written test, lasting 90 minutes. The written consists of five open questions that will cover the topics covered in the course and a set of 10 multiple-choice questions. The evaluation of the open-ended answers will be in relation to the correctness of the language adopted, the correctness of the answer and its completeness. Results will be communicated through online verbalization, which includes the possibility of rejection.
