Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with: i) the principles of clinical diagnosis of the most frequent skin diseases and sexually transmitted diseases; ii) the knowledge of the main laboratory investigations for the diagnosis of skin diseases; iii) the knowledge of the main therapeutic treatment and dermatologic surgical procedures of skin disease.
Expected learning outcomes
Students:
i) know the fundamental principles of clinical diagnosis of the most frequent skin diseases and sexually transmitted diseases;
ii) understand which laboratory investigations are required for diagnosis of skin diseases;
iii) know the characteristics of the topical therapies and surgical procedures.

Prerequisites for admission
The student must possess the knowledge acquired during the course of general Pathology and Physiopathology and have successfully passed these exams.
Teaching methods
Each credit includes hours of frontal and innovative teaching. The innovative teaching activities consist in the deepening of specific topics of the course syllabus, that will be selected by the students and the teacher. Such activity will be carried out in active collaboration between students and teacher.
The frontal teaching hours of this course are divided into frontal lessons and exercises.
The program will be carried out through lectures(3CFU) in classroom with the help of teaching material (slides and /or videos).

Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam consists of an oral interview regarding the subjects covered by this program. Passing the test will result in a mark expressed in thirtieths. No intermediate tests are planned.
