Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the principle of parasite transmission between wildlife and domestic animals in order to implement appropriate intervention strategies
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student must know the general rules of transmission dynamics and general principles for the prevention of the major parasitological diseases shared between wildlife and domestic animals

Introduction to ecology with specific reference to its application in the field of parasitology
Population dynamics of free-living populations
Dynamics of infections in free-living populations
Modes and dynamics of parasite transmission between animal populations with specific reference to transmission between livestock and wild populations
Control modes of parasitoses shared between livestock and wild populations
Prerequisites for admission
No prerequisites are necessary, although knowledge of the transmission modes of the main parasites groups facilitates understanding of the concepts.

Classroom lectures, and practical in laboratory and in the field

Teaching material in digital version will be provided by the teacher during the lectures
Assessment methods and Criteria
The examination consists of an open-ended written test and a brief presentation aimed at ascertaining the acquisition, correct understanding and ability to rework the course content.
