Epidemiology and Occupational Toxicology

Learning objectives
The aim of the course is to provide information and knowledge about the fundamental aspects of the epidemiology of work-related illnesses, aetiological diagnosis in occupational medicine, and the classification of the most frequent occupational diseases. In addition, pathologies resulting from risks in the workplace will be examined in depth.
Expected learning outcomes
Learning of the basics of methods and techniques to collect exposure and outcome data, identify environmental and occupational risks, and possible relationships with other factors (genetic, demographic, socio-economic, psychological and cultural) associated with health or disease status. Gain experience in the interpretation of relevant scientific literature.
