Learning objectives
The final exam allows the student to conduct preliminary research, and write an original dissertation, independently and through an in-depth critical reflection. The dissertation, to be presented and discussed before a panel, will be written under the supervision of a teacher (the supervisor) on a specific scientific research topic consistent with the student's academic pathway within the Master's Degree programme.
Given the relevance of the dissertation in a Master's degree programme, the topic must be agreed within year I with a teacher of a qualifying discipline of the programme, who will act as supervisor.
Expected learning outcomes
Through the dissertation and its discussion, the student must prove full mastery of the critical and methodological tools of their discipline, good argumentative skills, written and oral expression skills, as well as the aptitude for archaeological research and the ability to organize and present documents, materials, sources and critical literature relating to the chosen topic according to archaeological research methods.
