- Recognize the key role that psychology plays in our everyday lives.

Course syllabus
The study of thought processes, personality, and intelligent conduct.
Within a general historical framework about the evolution of scientific psychology and the main cognitive constructs, the wide and varied area of psychology of thought, which includes reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making, will be introduced. Space will then be given to the study of intelligence, personality, and well-being with particular reference to the field of teaching.
The models and constructs of psychology introduced will allow the deepening of the area of psychology of language and communication. Once communication in the field of cognitive psychology has been defined and the main theoretical models have been introduced, various fields of application will be introduced, including public communication, didactics, creative communication (written and oral), and scientific communication.
Prerequisites for admission
Students need only to meet the minimal requirements for admission to the degree course in Philosophical Science.

Assessment methods and Criteria
Verification of learning includes an oral examination. This consists of an interview on the program topics, aimed at ascertaining the knowledge of the concepts and methods introduced during the course, as well as their applications in the areas of interest.
The oral examination will evaluate:
the achievement of the objectives in terms of knowledge and understanding;
the ability to apply the concepts and methods illustrated in various contexts;
the autonomy of judgment and critical thinking;
the mastery of the specific language of experimental psychology and the ability to present the arguments in a clear and orderly manner.
