Interdisciplinary Surgery Course

Learning objectives
The aims of the course are:
- to describe the diseases and traumatic injuries most frequently causing disabilities that affect the internal and reproductive systems and which are subject to surgical treatment;
- to describe the most frequent traumatic diseases and injuries which affect the facial organs, and which are the object of surgical treatment to be able to define the main clinical features for these diseases;
- to correlate these diseases with the consequent disability;
- to describe the main types of surgical treatment the possible implications that some of these may have on rehabilitation treatment.

Expected learning outcomes
Students will be able to recognize the main diseases that lead to surgery at the level of internal organs, reproductive but also at the level of the face and circulatory system in order to be able to decline this information towards a correct rehabilitation approach both in case of intervention of surgical care than not.
