Learning objectives
- To acquire knowledge of the indications for non-surgical invasive treatment of cardiovascular diseases
- Provide detailed informations on the characteristics of the devices used for invasive cardiovascular treatment

- To have knowledge of the pathologies and indications for non-surgical invasive treatments
- To know the contraindications to the use of non-surgical invasive techniques
- To Know the characteristics of the devices used

No prior knowledge is required
Assessment methods and Criteria
The exam will be written. It will mainly consist of multiple choice questions with the addition of some open questions, in addition it will be possible, at the discretion of the teacher, to carry out an additional oral test.

Vascular approaches: selection, closure and prevention methods, recognition and treatment of complications.

Anti-aggregation and anticoagulation during interventional procedures.
The stent and prostheses: design, materials, polymers, drugs and platforms of the future.
Angioplasty techniques of the lower limbs and for the rescue of limbs.
Carotid and renal angioplasty techniques.
Selection of patients and aortic prosthesis implantation techniques in the pathology of the thoracic and abdominal aorta.
Valvulopathy treatment: from valvuloplasty to percutaneous replacement.
