The integrated course develops knowledge of the clinical aspects and etiopathological factors of diseases of both general and odontostomatological interest.

Experimental medicine and pathophysiology
Course syllabus
· Congenital and hereditary pathologies.
· Damage response: local and systemic.
· Acute inflammation: etiology, mediators, vascular and cellular phenomena, local and systemic manifestations.
· Chronic inflammation: etiology, nonspecific and granulomatous, associated pathologies.
· Blood and hemostasis. Insufficiency of the erythrocyte system.
· Immune response: Fundamental bases of innate and acquired immune response. Humoral and cell-mediated immune response.
· Immunopathology: tissue damage mediated by immune reactions (hypersensitivity). Rejection of transplanted tissues. Autoimmune and immunodeficiency diseases.
· Carcinogenesis: cellular transformation mechanisms and biological basis of cancer.
