Soil, ecosystem and main characteristics, agroecosystems, biodiversity in the context of agricultural and animal husbandry systems in different environmental scenarios.
Agricultural systems and effects of environmental and socio-economic conditions.
Ecosystem services through integrated land management.
Integration of crops, livestock and forestry activities in heterogeneous landscapes. Improvement of agricultural resilience and climate change mitigation.
Sustainability of production chains and protection of the territory and landscape. Design and management of sustainable agroecosystems.
Organic production: integrated management of natural resources on farm and at landscape scale. Environmental impact and GHG emission mitigation strategies in conventional and organic farms, risk management strategies and application of smart technologies.
Conservation of natural habitat and wildlife.
Role of agriculture in rural and urban landscapes.
