Learning objectives
The course provides knowledge of the cultural and civic aims of history and that of the main tools (cultural, technical, research, methodology) for education in the field of history.
Expected learning outcomes
The course is aimed at making students aware of the themes and problems related to the teaching of history and its cultural and civic aims, the genres of historiography, the public use of history, source documents and their interpretation, educational tools and new technologies. Acquiring the ability to critically assess sources and teaching materials available to the school will enable the student to effectively formulate educational designs with an open mind towards multidisciplinary integration.

Title of the course: The History is funny! For the inclusive and innovative history teaching
Part 1: For the inclusive history teaching: methods, sources, tools
Part 2: For the innovative history teaching: methods, sources, tools
Part 3: The methodology and applied didactics: simulation of lectures with innovative and inclusive languages
Prerequisites for admission
There are no specific requirements different from those requested for the admission to the MA degree in historical science
Teaching methods
Attendance to classes is not compulsory but recommended. The teaching is delivered through frontal lectures aimed primarily at the acquisition of knowledge, competence and specific language of the subject. Discussion with the teacher in the classroom is integrant part of the didactic method and aims at promoting a critical attitude and the capacity to apply the acquired competence and knowledge.
Morover the teaching is based on didactic and multimedia material provided on online platforms Ariel and Teams.
In addition to frontal lectures, team works and/or individual presentations and laboratory activities are envisaged

Assessment methods and Criteria
Method: oral exam
- Type of examination: oral interrogation
- Evaluation criteria: capacity to demonstrate and elaborate knowledge; capacity for critical reflection on the completed work; quality of exposition, competence in the use of specialised lexicon, efficacy, clarity.
- Type of evaluation method: mark in 30s
