Learning objectives
During the second year of the internship the student will be able to be able to apply practically all the theoretical knowledge acquired during the courses of:
· Strabismus and Orthoptic Treatment I
· Pathology of the visual apparatus
· Pathology of the visual system- Neuropsychovisual Rehabilitation- Phisical diagnostic, diagnostic imaging and functional assessment of the eye- Interdisciplinary Specialized Medical Science
Expected learning outcomes
In the end of the second year of clinical internship , the student must demonstrate to be able to use all the knowledge acquired during the course of:- Strabismus and orthoptic treatment (first)- Pathology of the visual system- Neuropsychovisual Rehabilitation- Phisical diagnostic, diagnostic imaging and functionalassessment of the eye- Interdisciplinary Specialized Medical Science

At the end of the internship period, the student must be able to
describe in detail the methods of refractive defect investigation and deficit assessment
oculomotors.
Know how to put into practice, in a simple way, all the knowledge of Orthoptics acquired during the lectures, or the assessment of sensory disorders and

To be able to carry out a study of ocular motility in complete autonomy
Know how to measure, with the most appropriate technique to the patient, the angle of a squint in all age groups.
To be able to perform in complete autonomy the most appropriate coordination technique for the patient
Know how to perform a tomography examination (HRT and OCT)
Know how to perform a pachimetry through the correct use of the Pachimetro
Know how to perform an Eye Biometrics through the correct use of Biometrics
Know how to perform a Microperimetry through the use of MP1
Being able to report accurate and timely health information to colleagues
Prerequisites for admission
The student must have passed the examination of Clinical Internship I
Teaching methods
Starting from the lectures, theoretical knowledge becomes experiential with clinical internship activities . There will be exercises, seminars, simulations, group work, preparation of papers and/or research, analysis of clinical cases

Assessment methods and Criteria
The clinical internship is extensive and takes place from October to September.
The internship activity is evaluated using three fact sheets that investigate the knowledge of being and knowing how to do.
The final grade of internship is expressed in thirtieth and is given by the average of the values in thirtieth of the three assessment sheets
