Learning objectives
The final degree examination represents the conclusion of the B.A. course in Foreign Languages and Literatures. It consists of a paper, written under the guidance of a tutor, in one of the subjects included in the curriculum. The paper is briefly presented and discussed in front of a committee, usually formed by teachers of related matters, that assesses it and determines the B.A. final mark.
Expected learning outcomes
The student will be able to conduct a research on a subject agreed with his / her supervisor, producing a written paper of a standard extension (30-50 pages). The student will prove to have reached a certain degree of autonomy in the preparation of the paper and in the use of primary and secondary bibliography. Furthermore, he / she should expose the contents of the paper in a clear and consistent manner, using the specific terminology of the field. Discussing the paper in front of the committee, the student will be able to illustrate the characteristics of the work and the methodology he / she used, delivering a presentation both in a foreign language and in Italian, while interacting appropriately with the examiners.
