Learning objectives
This module has the purpose to present the main philosophical and legal issues - along with the fundamental interpretive tools and notions - concerning the study of vindicatory legal orders and the mechanisms of restorative justice.
The module also aims to provide students with the skill to apply those notions to the analysis of selected case-law and judicial decisions.
Concerning the bibliography, this module aims to make students able to critically engage the study of examined authors.
Lastly, the module has the purpose to generally improve students' learning skills.
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will have learned some fundamental concepts to orient himself in the understanding of the structure and functioning of vindictive legal systems and of the mechanisms of restorative justice.
