Learning objectives
- Know how to deal with the main medical, surgical and resuscitation urgencies.
- Know how to assess the patient's general condition and stratify the clinical risk.
- Know the guidelines for the restoration and maintenance of vital functions, following appropriate diagnostic-therapeutic pathways.
- Know the physiopathological mechanisms, etiology and clinical presentation
- Know the differential diagnosis and the diagnostic pathway
- Know the techniques for monitoring vital functions
- Know the treatment principles and therapeutic algorithms
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- know how to deal with cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers;
- know how to deal with the main medical and resuscitation urgencies
- know the advanced algorithms of treatment of bradi- and tacho-arrhythmias in urgency, the principles of defibrillation and electrical cardioversion
- interpret the emo-gas analysis and learn about the main emergency drugs
- interpret a monitoring
