Learning objectives
The course is aimed at both beginner students and advanced students. For beginners, the goal is to reach the A2 level of the German language. For advanced students, the objective is to consolidate previous linguistic knowledge. The aim of the course for all participants is the acquisition of basic skills in the analysis of short text concerning various topics and of political and business texts (e.g. political system, economy, innovation).
Expected learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be able to:
1. Actively use grammar knowledge (e.g. adjective inflection) in solving various types of written exercises (e.g. MCQ, gap-fill).
2. Answer to written questions (e.g. MCQ, gap-fill) about German texts dealt with in class (e.g. questions on the content, on specific words and on grammar).
3. Answer orally to questions in German about German texts dealt with in class (e.g. questions on the content, on specific words and on grammar).
4. Propose a translation of texts dealt with in class.
5. Independently understand short German texts on topics similar to those analyzed in class.
6. Answer to written questions (e.g. MCQ, gap-fill) in German about texts on topics similar to those analyzed in class.
7. Answer orally to questions in German about texts on topics similar to those analyzed in class.
8. Produce short written texts in German.
9. Answer orally to questions on non-specialized topics (presenting oneself, describing one's own course of study, etc.).
