Learning objectives
        
            
                  The course aims to provide the basic theoretical knowledge to analyze the health economics and the health market. The elements that distinguish the health markets and the specificities that characterize the Italian NHS will be illustrated. The main tools to analyze the efficiency and equity issues in the health sector will be accurately presented.
      
      
  
  Expected learning outcomes
        
            
                  At the end of the course the student will know: the basic theoretical aspects to analyze the health economics and the health market; the elements that distinguish health markets; the specific elements that characterize the Italian NHS. Prerequisites for admission
There are no formal entry requirements. However, in order to fully understand several concepts that will be deepened during the course, students have to be aware of the basic concepts of Microeconomics, Economics and Public Economics.
