International and Eu Law

The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the fundamental concepts of international law and the European Union, as well as the vocabulary necessary to describe them. International law makes it possible to interpret the relations of States, be they mutual or with other international actors, according to its specific categories (law / obligation /authority), different but complementary to those typical of other sciences, such as politics, history, economy, taught in other courses of the same degree course. In the same time, international law offers the tools to achieve cooperation between States. The European Union is one of the main international organizations and a place of cooperation and integration between European States.
The course provides the student with the basics to deal with the international law related matters of the third year of the course.

The student is expected to become familiar with the fundamental concepts of international law and the European Union and with the proper technical language necessary to describe them. In such a way, the student will be able to understand the phenomena from the point of view of international and European law and to express the relevant critical assessments.
