Learning objectives
This course aims to develop reading and writing skills as well as metalinguistic skills through the analysis of descriptive, narrative and expository/argumentative texts, so as to reach proficiency in Italian at B2 level. It also intends to provide in-depth knowledge of the economic language. Exercises aim to improve production skills, both orally and in writing, as well as mediation skills between the varieties and registers of the Italian language. The final goal is to train qualified and culturally aware language specialists, in line with the objective of the study programme.
Expected learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand and produce clear and properly-structured descriptive, narrative and expository texts. They will be also able to find the main information in a text and to paraphrase its contents, both orally and in writing They will be aware of the varieties of Italian. The proficiency level to be reached in Italian is B2 under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
