Learning objectives
Students will attend seminars, lectures and meetings with professionals involved in different fields of modern research, in bioinformatics and more in general different aspects of biomolecular research based on "genome-wide" approaches. The overall goal is to make them familiar with the most relevant topics in modern bioinformatics and genomics, and the role that the bioinformatic analyst plays in them.
Expected learning outcomes
Students will have an overall picture of the latest advancements in basic and applied bioinformatics and genomics, the latest experiments, assays and analysis pipelines, and the discoveries derived from their application. Also, they will have an overview of which can be currently considered the most relevant skills needed and sought in public or private research labs.
